The Credenda Way
Although we employ leading edge 21st century technology, Credenda is rooted in centuries old wisdom of virtues. Virtues are universal human qualities within all of us. All cultures recognize virtues as moral excellence and goodness. As well as speaking the language of the virtues, we highlight one with our Virtue of the Week (VOTW).
We are listed at http://besthighschoolsonline.com/canada/.
Credenda has chosen synchronous delivery because learning is best done with social interaction for engagement and in real time for immediate feedback. As an eLearner, there are two components for you to master.

Guides
One of your best resources is our eStudent Handbook. It is aimed at our high school eStudents but it has a wealth of information on how to succeed at Credenda. It isn't updated for Desire2Learn but our eStudent Action Checklist can still help guide you on your path to success.

Cognitive Enrichment Advantage (CEA) immerses you in a language of learning so you can learn how to learn and become a life long learner. CEA recognizes that the brain and heart have to work together. Surprised to see the word heart? Brain research shows that engagement, or caring, is the first necessary step in any learning. CEA gives you 8 Tools of Learning for your heart to use with the 12 Building Blocks of Learning. Together these 20 Tools and Building Blocks cover the entire learning process as identified by the brilliant educator Professor Reuven Feuerstein. CEA Building Blocks of Thinking

Brain Rules
If you want to thrive at school, check out John Medina's Brain Rules.
His site and his book take results from brain research and translates it into rules for us. Medina practices what he preaches. Inside the book you will find a multimedia DVD that follows Brain Rule #10 "Vision trumps all other senses." Experiment with a few and draw your own conclusions:
