Starting in the fall of 2011, Credenda is offering Adult 12 evening classes. This program is a cyclical 2 year program offering all 7 courses required by the Ministry of Education. To achieve an Adult 12 Graduation Diploma, you must acquire the following:
- A Math at the 20 or 30 level
- A Science at the 20 or 30 level
- ELA A30
- ELA B30
- A Canadian Studies/Native Studies at the 30 level
- Two electives at the 30 level
Are you prepared?
Credenda wants you to be successful. Whether you are upgrading, entering into post-secondary institution, or keen to get your High School diploma, there are things that you will need to consider before registering. Completing a 7 course process requires a time commitment. You will need to consider the time you will need after each class for studying and assignments that will need to be submitted.
You will attend a three hour class session one night per week per course. You can take a maximum of 2 courses per term in the evening classes. (If you wish to expedite the process, you may take live classes during the day.) To support your success, Credenda's first course, Foundations, is a refresher in math and English Language Arts (ELA).
You may come in and out of the program, registering only for those courses you need. Upon registration for the Adult 12 classes, Credenda will conduct a credit audit to determine what courses you require.

Course Descriptions
Credenda Foundations Course is a locally developed non-credit course at Credenda to assist those students who may have been out of the school system for some time. Its focus will be on providing a basic introduction in high school level Math and English Language Arts skills to help students prepare for their required classes.
Biology 20 is a course for concentrators and non-concentrators in biology. It is based on the assumption that science is an important part of human culture, and that cultural literacy includes a broad knowledge of human thought and analysis, including the natural sciences. Bio 20 is intended to introduce students to some of the most important aspects of current biological theory, methodology, and research.
English Language Arts A30 (ELA A30) is organized around themes that focus on Canadian literature and society.
English Language Arts B30 (ELA B30) is an issue-oriented course that is organized around human concerns in a global society. English Language Arts B30 examines global perspectives using traditional and contemporary world literature in a comparative manner.
Life Transitions 30 enables students to plan and manage their careers, their family, and their health throughout their life. This involves making informed decisions, setting goals and establishing plans to meet those goals. It means putting plans into action and then reshaping those plans as reality requires.
Math Apprenticeship and Work 20 meets the needs of students intending to pursue careers in the trades and general workplaces.
Native Studies 30 aims to develop personal awareness and cultural understanding, and to promote the development of positive attitudes in all students towards Indigenous peoples.
Psychology 30 focuses on human development. Developmental psychology is the field of psychology that focuses on human development across the life span.
