FAQs

We hope these frequently asked questions supply you with helpful answers.

Do I have to attend class?
Yes. It is important that students enjoy the benefits of live interaction with their teachers. If it is necessary to miss a class, students are able to access a recording of the class that they missed.

How long are the classes?
The classes are scheduled for one hour.  Each individual eTeacher determines how much time in each class will be dedicated to "teaching time" and to "work time".

Is there a cost? How do I pay?
There is a cost associated with taking classes. Each class is $500. If you live within a provincial school division, some divisions will pay for up to two classes per term. You will need to explore that with your local school divison. If you are First Nations, living on reserve and under 21, the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs will cover your costs. If you are considered a northern resident(Prince Albert and north of Highway 55), regardless of age or ethnicity, Cameco Bursaries are available for students who wish to take Math and Science classes.

Do I need anything besides a computer?
A headset will help you hear and speak in our eLive classroom.  A binder to organize your notes and other materials from the class. All textbooks are online.
