Parent
We know the importance of your child's success in school. Credenda has designed a caring, innovative, and flexible eLearning delivery system offering scheduled real time interactions between students and eTeachers. At Credenda, we integrate the virtues and technology to maximize learning potential. Our eStudent page offers valuable guides and resources and we offer a concise printable brochure.
Our eTeachers follow the approved Saskatchewan high school curriculum and our Grade 12 eTeachers are accredited so they can set their own exams. Our eStudents benefit from:
- live instruction providing personal attention,
- constructive and timely feedback to achieve superior results,
- a diverse learning community made up of students from across the province,
- practicing 21st century technological literacy skills, and
- the ability to learn from school, home, or anywhere online.
Our learning management system, Desire2Learn, gives parents the ability to view student progress online.
This screen grab is the eTeacher view to illustrate how technology is integrated into our Elluminate Live! virtual classroom.

Virtues
It is our duty and honour as parents to help our children uncover their purpose in life. Within each of our children are the seeds of all the virtues needed to truly fulfill their purpose. We can nurture these seeds by first practicing the virtues ourselves and then encouraging the virtues in our children. Our encouragement not only supports the growth of the virtues, but it strengthens our children's roots so they can accept guidance when they make poor choices.
When we live and speak the language of the virtues, our children feel loved and understood. If we yell at them about how disrespectful it is to party on a school night, we have lost a teachable moment. By yelling, we ourselves are making a choice that shows disrespect and lack of self-control. If we had recognized their practice of joyfulness, we could have provided guidance by openly discussing ways that result in joy and a good night's sleep.
If you practice discernment, you can begin to find the virtues in challenging behaviours. The virtue present is extreme and needs to be balanced. For example, shyness may be strong self-care that needs to be balanced by confidence or courage. Even bullying can be blind determination that needs to be balanced by empathy and tolerance. For more examples, visit "Cultivating Balance" by Nancy Watters.
At Credenda, as well as actively looking for teachable moments, we have a Virtue of the Week to expand knowledge of the virtues. Many Credenda staff have virtues training and treasure their Virtues Reflections Cards.
