Are you an ideal E-teacher? An ideal E-teacher is an ideal teacher. They enjoy working with learners; they have comprehensive knowledge of their subject domain; they are enthusiastic and able to motivate learners to achieve curriculum objectives; and they have a large repertoire of teaching skills that cover a wide range of learning styles. An ideal teacher has the commitment, patience, confidence, sense of humour, and empathy needed to translate traditional classroom abilities into the virtual classroom. They focus on student mastery of skills.
An ideal E-teacher has sufficient technical skills to be an effective online teacher. They have an aptitude for working with computers and can rapidly gain fluency in new programs. They have a personal sense of competence and comfort in the environment. They have basic troubleshooting skills paired with the ability to recognize the need for and request technical support.
