Program Description
As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping all students achieve their academic potential by assisting professional educators. The Educational Assistant Certificate Program prepares you to work in a variety of settings from head start programs to high school levels, in resource settings to fully inclusive settings. You will gain a background in human development, exploring exceptionalities, supporting math and language arts instruction to work with both children and adults.
Program Overview
Credenda Virtual College is offering the Educational Assistant Certificate Program via the internet with live interactive lessons so you can stay in your community. The certificate program is comprised of eleven courses and two practicums, with each course approximately ten weeks long. The classes will take place one evening a week and one Saturday a month allowing you to retain employment during the day and still work towards your education goals. The first intake starts September 2008 and will finish July 2010.
